so since all i've posted recently has been surveys, i feel the need to post an actual blog. not to mention, i'm UBER stressed. i only got paid for a total of 18 hrs when i work 30 hr weeks. let's just say, Rae ain't so happy right now. i have things i need to save for!! i guess this is where good news for all of you follwers that didn't know comes in.. Cory Lynn & I have a house :) :) it's an older house close to where he lives now & we're completely demolishing the place & making it our own :) i just know it'll be super cute!! it looks horrid right now... lol but we're working on that! he's working with future pops every day & even sometimes at publix & going to school. i'm so proud of him! :) just hoping he can get a job that he really enjoys & has steadier pay than publix, so if you guys can, please send up a prayer for him! :) anyways, i've got my dress & wedding plans are coming together quite nicely :) :) we've got the planner, photographer & someone to make my cake all lined up :) so that makes me feel better! im having an AWFUL time picking out bridesmaids dresses!!!! its been a mega burden on me lately! we've resorted to making them. which we dont even know if that will work or not. my mother thinks she can just add on to her stress by trying to help make them... i always tell her not to cause she's already so upset about my leaving home that its not gonna help! for some reason i've really been struggling with that. i know im gonna be fine cause i know its where im supposed to be.. but i guess when reality hits me i can't hardly believe it. i've always lived at home with my mom & been there with her... she is for real my best friend!! so knowing im gonna be so far away for her permanently, is hard to grasp. i can't wait to get married! i really can't!! but i guess im just having a hard time... growing up! trust me, if you aren't engaged or haven't ever had to move off, & you sometime do... you'll understand! im stoked to be getting married & starting my new life with Cory Lynn :) :) just.. nervous about it cause ive never been THAT far away for... well, forever. lol anyways, other than all the stress from the pay thing... im doing okay lol just thought i'd vent for a little bit & put off working :)

"Marry me, today and every day"
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :)
CORY & I ARE ENGAGED!!!! :) :) :) :)
i'm sure you've heard, but i thought id either confirm the rumor if you didnt think it was true, or at least tell you! Plus, Kendra told me I had to post the story on my blog lol & of course i had already thought of that!! anways, first of all, let me apologize to those of you whom i DIDNT text or let know. I was in such a state of shock & it was so early in the morning that I barely even knew how to add contacts so i could text!! lol im for real! no exaggerating! so i just typed in a bunch of names of people i knew! so, i am VERY sorry if you did not receive a text or phone call personally from me!! anyways! let me kinda explain a few things first.... originally, Cory was gonna ask me to marry him on our 1 year! (sweet, right?) well, his dad told him he thought it would be better if Cory waited till he was done completely with high school (glad he did wait now!) & that was gonna be in December! So Cory had to wait.
Friday night, (12-16-11) Cory Lynn came over for our family Christmas with my sister carri (ya know, the unofficially adopted one) & her husband & kids! so he was gonna stay the night at my house & i was going to Carri's cause we were gonna do our Christmas the next day :) well, Mason, my nephew, woke me up at 6!! so of course i texted Cory lol little did i know he was awake & getting everything ready! I honestly did not think it would be this weekend!! at all. i didnt think he had the ring.. nothing! well, the plan was for me to come back home around 8:30. well, i got ready (wearing a hoodie & cheetah swim skirt). When i was getting ready, i took my hair down.. & decided to just leave it that way, cause it wasnt TOO bad. Cory Lynn is VERY lucky, cause i could've put it up in a "crap bun" as he calls it lol anyways, i tell my little sister to get ready so we can head on over there a soon as possible (im always very pushy & anxious when he's there & im not, so i nag until she gets ready lol she wasn't bad this time though... wonder why -_-) well, she gets ready, i come outta the bathroom & its about 5 till 8:30 & i tell her to come on! She says, "mama says we can't come home because cory's in the shower or something..." of course that makes me slightly aggravated... i've been there more than once when he was in the shower! not like im gonna go in there... so of course i say, "uhh... why? we've been there when he was in the shower before!" her reply: "well, don't ask me, ask mom." -_- so instead of making a big deal, i just decided to play with the kids & wait. I realized that Cory was up & i had already called him more than once to try & wake him up so he'd be ready like me when i got there.. so, to see if he was "done getting ready" i called again. no answer. you can imagine the agitation i was starting to feel lol so FINALLY i decide that its okay for us to leave. well, on the way there.. things did start to kinda, well, add up a bit lol but SOMEONE decided to use his sinning advantages & tell me that "it is NOT this weekend, dont get your hopes up." "i dont even have your ring" -_- yeah. i know lol. so i threw that outta my mind because i didnt wanna get my hopes up at all! anyways, i get home & when i peeked in the garage thinking maybe... buuut of course not lol when i walk in the door, daddy was "washing dishes" (at 8 something in the morning? you'd think i'd notice these things, but i didnt lol) & says "well, what are you doin here so late?? i thought you'd be here a lot earlier!" & i mouthed off about mama not letting me come home. lol so here i am running my mouth when i look into our living room & ALL the lights are off :) (if you've ever been to my house, you know where im talking about & that my room is right off the living room!) the Christmas tree was, of course, all lit up... & there were candles & rose petals making a path to my bedroom door :) :) i looked up & saw Cory Lynn standing in the doorway smiling & i said, "What are you doing?!" (my mom was in the living room! & laughed... leave it to her lol) he smiled & i said "you're joking! you've got to be kidding me!!" & he said, "well, its a bit much for a joke, don't you think?" & i said, "yeah, kinda!!" he told me to come in my room where there were MORE candles & told me to sit down on my bed :) (or hop, in my case cause my bed is super tall lol) so i got on the edge of my bed & he got down on one knee :) :) :) :) he didn't spill his heart out, he just pulled out the prettiest, round, solitaire diamond ring & said, "Rachael LeeAnn, will you marry me?" :) :) :) :) & i replied with "Oh My Lord!!.... Oh my Lord, YES!!" :) :)
thinking about it gives me chills! i know some of you are like "Oh please!" but i really dont care! he did an amazing job! & i simply adore my ring! its all so hard to grasp! but it feels good to say that he is now my finace & not my "boyfriend" :) :)
unfortunately, they had to clean up the candles & such cause the wax was melting:( :( i had really wanted pics with my camera, but i've got some that were taken with a cell phone lol

To: My Best Friend
well, since Cory & My mom are my 2 best friends... and i'll be writing a note to them anyways, im gonna write a small note to all of my girls :)

each & every one of you mean SO much to me!! y'all have been there when no one else was! each of you have been my rock at some point & time :) & i am so thankful that God put you in my life :) some of y'all im a bit closer to than others, but that doesn't even matter! i love each & every one of you the same & would never trade our friendships for anything :) i have a special place for each of you in my heart that will never go away :) at some point & time all of you have been my rock & support! God knew what he was doing when he placed all of you in my life & i am honestly totally and completely thankful that it was YOU & not anyone else! :) i'm gonna miss you all so much when i get married! (come on, we all know its coming soon lol) anyways, i love you all so so much & wouldn't trade you for anything :)

days 3-10 of thankfulness :)
day 3:
i am thankful for my church :) Rocky Branch is such a wonderful place to go :) We get some of the best teachings there and i love everyone so much! It's been my home church since i was born and I also received the Holyghost there :) idk what im gonna do when i get married and move off! (come on, everyone knows about Cory and I! NO WE'RE NOT ENGAGED! yet...;) lol) it'll be hard, but i know i'll adjust fine wherever i go ;)
day 4:
i'm DEFINITELY thankful for my raising!! and my teachings! i've noticed so many things in the past year that has made me realize how good i have it :) some people are just not.. taught. either that, or they have and just don't listen! like i said before, i have amazing teachings at church from our ministers & especially from my parents. im glad i was raised up the way i was!!
day 5:
im so thankful God put me with such amazing parents :) my mom is my best friend and i have the best, smartest daddy in the world! they have been there through everything! and they know exactly how to make me smile :) of course, we all have our times when we butt heads and fuss, but what family doesn't? God couldn't have put me with better parents :) he must've known nobody else could handle me ;)

i'm very thankful for my sisters & brothers-in-law!
as most of you know, my family unofficially adopted Carri Frolik as a daughter/sister :) so that means i have 3 sisters, 2 brothers-in-law, 2 (well, almost) nephews & a niece!
they all mean SO much to me :) Those babies can make me laugh & smile on days when i dont even feel like smiling! & Carri has been such a good friend to me. Rebecca and Jed are of course always there to make me laugh :) especially since Becca got married... she's grown herself quite a backbone and she cracks me up at the things she can say! the older she gets, the more she's like my mother! it's kinda crazy :) not to mention her big ole baby bump makes me so happy i can't hardly stand it! :D its so unreal!
& last there's emily... oh my. Emily seriously can get on my LAST nerve. but then again, she turns around and completely cracks me UP! she has one of the best personalities ever :) & really knows how to make someone laugh :) (oh, i love my brothers too! lol)

im thankful for all the things i have in life. my house, phone, computers, car, money, food, gas, tvs, POWER! all the little things i take for granted... im so thankful for :) if it weren't for them, id go crazy!

im thankful for my boyfriend! he's the best friend i've ever had and i couldn't have asked for anyone better! God seriously had something to do with us getting together :) & i'm completely and totally psyched about spending my life with him one day in the future :) we're so good together and i absolutely love every minute with him! we've had our little fusses & fights, but they've only made us stronger and brought us closer :) i'm glad God gave him to me :)

every day im able to get up, walk around, sit, stand, speak, move...
just be alive! and i am so thankful for that! every day God watches over me and keeps me safe wherever i go :) and keeps my family safe too! im just so very thankful for everything he does for me!
